Renovations Complete at SUVCC

Douglas College Students’ Union Phase 1 Reno Complete!

We are pleased to announce the completion of renovations to Level 1 and Level 3. The previously institutional space has been updated and modernized with beautiful and functional new recreational, meeting and dining areas custom designed for the students. Thanks to the design and construction team for their fine work.

A Successful 2018

TAM celebrated the end of 2018 with the completion of renovations and financing at Levellers Housing Co-op, Burrardview Housing Co-op and Dundee Housing Co-op.  All were completed on or under budget – good news for the members who will enjoy their affordable housing for years to come!  A big “thank you” to all the volunteer board members for contributing to the success of their communities.

TAM at the BCNPHA Conference 2017

Christian Menard, General Manager of Terra Asset Management and Stuart Thomas, Principal of the Terra Group of Companies led the “Impossible” Reno workshop at the BCNPHA Housing Central Conference on Tuesday, November 21, 2017.

Christian and Stuart offered workshop participants a practical guide, showing how TAM works with housing operators to assess, organize funding for and complete the necessary renovations to preserve their building assets.

The focus of the workshop was the renovation of the Norman Bethune Housing Co-operative in Burnaby, a woodframe project constructed in 1974 which was in dire need

TAM “Pushes the Envelope” at Lock Lane Co-op

With TAM’s assistance Lock Lane Housing Co-op completed an entire envelope replacement to their 30 unit townhouse complex followed by extensive interior upgrades. Recently landscaping improvements were completed.  The results speak for themselves in the before and after photos:

A Big Celebration for the Members of Norman Bethune


Residents and friends of the Norman Bethune Housing Co-operative enjoyed refreshments and festivities marking the completion of rehabilitation work at the co-op on Sunday August 13th.


As the freshly painted co-op sign was unveiled, President Ray Shaw congratulated the tenacity of the members who kept driving forward when “everybody was saying Norman Bethune was lost”.  Mr. Shaw also stated “I want to point out how TAM stepped in for us and helped make this happen.  We couldn’t have done it without you”.

Pine Ridge Co-op Celebration

Renovations are complete at Pine Ridge Housing Co-operative and it was the perfect sunny summer day to celebrate.  Time to enjoy those great new interior and exterior upgrades!

TAM congratulated the Co-op at a fun-filled family barbeque and movie night on Saturday August 13th.  The popcorn machine was kept busy but the line-up for the ice cream truck showed it was definitely the crowd favourite.

As darkness fell, folks settled in to enjoy the newest installment of the much loved movie franchise: “Star Wars – the Force Awakens”.
